I'm Sending a farewell kiss and a prayer out to my sweet and longtime friend, Rachel Bissex, who was passionately lovedd by all of her many friends. She had that cool thing about her that endeared her to everybody. I met her while I was living in Plainfield Vermont and playing in my first band, The Zuchinni Brothers Band. It was 1977 or 1978. We were playing at Johnson State College and she was living there at the time and going to school. She was also in a duo with Roo Seidner called 'Roo and Rachel...or Rachel and Roo'. Those girls were fuuuuuuun. Over the years she was mostly a Burlington gal...and the initial force behind the The Burlington Coffeehouse. Vermonters seem to share a special bond and as I saw Rachel off and on during the years before she finally crossed over it really was as if we never skipped a beat. I know she never did, anyway. I'm glad to see she's still with us in so many ways I wish her well on her journeys and peace to the family members she left behind.
