Notes From the Road
12-3-09 Happy Holy Days 2009/2010 - MP3 Downloads Now Available!
Happy Holy Days of every flavor to all of you. It's snowy and cold here in Taos and i'm working on end of the year shows with my best friend, Ellis Paul, up in the north east and am starting to fill in the 2010 Calendar. Thanks for an amazing 2009. It wasn't an easy one but it was a great adventure in every way. Just making it through this far without going bankrupt was a miracle for me in and of itself because of my shattered femur/titanium rebuild and I have so many to thank for that. My leg has leveled out in it's healing trajectory. Good days and bad days, but fully functional and up to any task. Sure enjoyed touring in Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico in November. More fun than I can say.
Most of my music is now available as MP3 Downloads here on my site in the Music section. When you go to a particular album in the Music section you'll see little buttons next to each track to listen and to buy. When you click the "buy" it'll open up a window and add that track to a shopping cart...it will also show you different options for checking out or for continuing to shop. It functions like most any online item purchase and should make sense. Big thanks to Jim and Catherine at Slab 500. Thanks also to all who bought the new CD, Turn Here, which has been very well received and will also be available as MP3 Downloads in late January. Please check back for that one.

My beloved friends, Lowen and Navarro, who I played and recorded with for many years have retired the band this year, but the music lives on in a way that will help all folks touched by ALS as Eric Lowen is. The CD, Keep the Light Alive celebrates the amazing songs those guys wrote and they're performed by Jackson Browne, John Ondrasik (of Five For Fighting), Keb' Mo', The Bangles, Severin Browne (Jackson's brother and an old friend of Dan and Eric's), Joel Rafael, Andy Chase, The Refugees, Freebo, Eddie from Ohio, Phil Parlapiano, Charlie Wadhams and Stonehoney. The CD is available from this link. Sales will benefits the Eric Lowen Trust, Augie's Quest and ALSA LA.
I wish peace and joy on every single one of you and all those around you. These are large times we live in and we need to radiate love and positivity whenever and wherever we can.
