At six months after my infamous bicycle fall I got a clean bill of health from my Orthopaedic Doc here in Taos, Dan Guttman. The cracks have all fused and the titanium has settled in. Went to an hour and a half long yoga class the other night and it felt pretty sweet. Even though I still owe roughly $20,000 I feel like my life is back on track. Six months ago I owed almost $90,000 and no one was sure if I would have full use of leg again. I feel like I came out on top of this one. I can't thank you all enough for all the support, the donations, the prayers, the Reiki and all other forms of JuJu that people sent out that healed me and kept me moving forward and kept the bills paid. Thanks to Shelley here in Taos at the Northside Fitness Center, I was able to rehab myself. All you folks who were worried that I had emaciated to the point of non existence can rest assured that I'm fitting into my jeans again and may even be more buff than ever. I'm heading out the door here shortly for a little mountain climbing on the bicycle with Jimmy Stadler before I finish packing for a week long drive over to and through Texas. I'm picking up my buddy Ellis Paul at the Dallas Fort Worth Airport along the way and it'll be like old times for a few days. We hope to do more touring together. He says I should move to Virginia. I say he should move to New Mexico. It's a standoff for the time being. His new album is quite amazing and the packaging is the about the coolest I've ever seen. It's called The Day After Everything Changed and is produced by our Eddie's Attic pal, Kristian Bush, now of the famous country duo Sugarland.

Thanks to everyone who ordered copies of my new CD, Turn Here. Sales have been brisk and it has gotten daily airplay here in Taos on our awesome local station, KTAO. I head to Oklahoma in early November and back to Texas again afterwards. I'll be packing my bicycle while I tour so it's a fun fall season for me.  I have a lot to be grateful for. Blessings and peace to all of you from the mountains of northern New Mexico (and the plains of Texas).
