Heading off to Boston for another round of year's end shows as guitar guy for the Ellis Paul Trio. When I get home I'll be busy finishing construction on some Taos area music ensembles that I'm pretty happy about. After laying low in Taos for the first year and a half I'm gonna start playing locally. The dance band was built for two stepping and harmony singing with Jim Bradley (The Rifters, The Hired Hands, SXSW) on bass and on guitars it was myself and Jed Zimmerman from "Jed and Kelley"...but Jed could only work with us until the end of 2007. We call it The Lugnuts and it features Jim Bradley on bass and vocals and DonCon on various guitars and vocals. When we work as a trio the third chair will be rotating. Don Richmond has the first right of refusal for gigs. I'm also working up a jazz flavored ensemble featuring Aaron Lewis on woodwinds. Aaron is a monster player and this project is definately going to kick my ass some. I welcome the butt kicking. I'm also doing some duo stuff with the amazing Jimmy Stadler. I like to call him Jiggy Stamler. He's the man...and master of all things Jiggy.

Let's elect some real leaders to send to Washington D.C. in 2008. The last batch to occupy the White House really stunk up the place and left a helluva mess to clean up. Hope you find great peace and joy in the new year whatever path you walk. I appreciate you all. Don Con
