11-27-07 Snow Time again in Taos...and Local Gigs
Survived another Ellis Paul Trio run through Boston and New York city...and had an outrageously good time. The after party in the dressing room at Joe's Pub in NYC was one of the better ones...Radoslav broke out some Croatian folk songs on the accordion and things got wild. We'll be doing it again up in Maine and at Club Passim the week of New Year's. See the Shows Section for details. Many thanks to Don Glazer and Ann Vellis for your support and hospitality and to Rachel Klein for the impressive stunt driving and logistical support.

I just played a helluva Birthday party in Tulsa for Tony and Shawna Gehres which included a great jam/reunion with the Red Dirt Rangers. Thanks there to the Watsons for once again loaning me the kids, the dog, the bicycle, the garage apartment and the Honda. Tulsa has become a home away from home thanks to them and their amazing family and friends including Tony and Shawna. A shout out to Natty, Ruthie, Jimmy, Judy-Judy-Judy, Appollo and Black Stripe AKA French Fry.

I'm back home mostly working construction with my homies at Agape and am also starting to play some local gigs again. Even though I've been flying out a lot to do shows since I moved to Toas I've kept a low local profile until recently. I'm very excited to be working up a few different projects with some great friends here including Jim Bradley (Rifters, Hired Hands), Jimmy Stadler (The Jimmy Stadler Band) and Aaron Lewis who is a great jazz player. Each thing will have it's own flavor from two stepping to rock to jazz and will allow me to play my favorite rooms around Taos and to stretch out musically.

So...Happy Holy Days To all of every persuasion and most of all Peace in your daily lives. DonCon
