Featuring "The Other Side". This album was recorded at John Kurgan's Hungry goat Studio in New Jersey with the exceptions of The Other Side and Drink Another round which were recorded in Alamosa, CO at Don Richmond's Howling Dog Studio. Hungry, howling animals. Very appropriate settings. I played all the instruments on the cuts recorded by Don Richmond. In New Jersey Billy Braatz and I went in and laid down the basic tracks live then I finished the bass and various overdubs afterwards. We got ellis Paul to come in and do harmony vocals throughout. Aside from being my best friend I had really envisioned the texture of his voice on this album and he delivered. We kept a very "live" sound and feel throughout the project right down to Neale Eckstein's mastering. I'm very fond of this album and pleased with how it turned out on every level...except for the front cover image by Kenn Bird. I love the image and it was a privilege to use Kenn's work, but I predicted at the time that it would be an endless source of ribbing from my friends...and I was right.
