5-12-12 Spring Came Early and Played Nice

So happy to see the seasons change in the high desert. Never a dull moment. And no dull moments in the music biz around here either. I have some fun things that I get to do every week... host the open mic at The Taos Inn (Adobe Bar) on Mondays, play with my rocking trio the first Sunday of each month at The Taos Inn and play the other Sundays with Patrick Turnmire on Cajon as a duo at Sabroso in Arroyo Seco. I have a cool show with blues legend Bob Catfish Hodge in May at The Outpost Performance Space in Albuquerque, I'll be helping my buddy Ellis Paul out at The Kerrville Folk Festival in late May, I'm taking an expanded lineup of my band to The Woody Guthrie Festival in mid July in addition to doing a preview show at Uncle Calvin's in Dallas and a Living Room Concert for High Plains Public Radio (HPPR) in Amarillo. Also in late July/early August I'm playing Linus in the Dixon Players production of You're A Good Man Charlie Brown. Then I get to return to the Rocky Mountain Folks Fest in mid August to be on the faculty of the Song School and also to do a set in the Wildflower Pavilion. There are various other shows sprinkled in and around Colorado, Texas and Oklahoma this summer. It's a bit more than I can handle, but if I can pull it all off I might get a little ribbon or a trophy or something special like that... and maybe a day off in September. Thank you to everyone who has helped me get busy and stay busy. i'm extremely grateful to be back to work again. Peace and love to all.
